Ultimate Dairy Free Porridge Bowl

If you are looking for the best morning recipe for your porridge needs, then look no further. Here is the recipe for my breakfast which I have been having most mornings for well over a year now. As an added bonus, this is also dairy free! You will need:

  • 60g Oats
  • 200ml Almond milk
  • 1/2 scoop vegan protein powder (I use unflavoured soya isolate)
  • 1tsp ground ginger
  • 2tbsp mixed seeds (mine is a mixture of chia, pumpkin and sunflower)
  • 1 medium banana
  • Handful of blueberries


Firstly add the oats, protein powder and almond milk into the bowl and mix until all the powder has mixed in. Next, put the bowl into the microwave and start the timer for 2min 30sec. You don’t have to do it this long, but I like my porridge well and truly nuked.

While your porridge is cooking away, you can peel the banana and get all your toppings ready to add. Finally, once the porridge is out of the microwave, slice the banana on top of the porridge, adding the ginger, blueberries and seeds. Stir well and enjoy.
